I really wish I had a cooler story for how
We Are CAN
I received an e-mail from a company the other day, which started with this:
“With one in four young Britons out of work, and arts and University cuts setting in, we don’t need Facebook, we need a social network that can affect real change on a physical level. We Are CAN is that network.”
Pretty bold statement. But from reading up on them and talking to them, I can say We Are CAN (that’s Collaborative Arts Network by the way) are definitely working towards something special.
We Are CAN‘s mission is to realise and present our members’ personal projects and those of their own expansive networks.
“Whether crafting a website or a mobile application; creating a look-book for a new label or a campaign for a new service; curating an exhibition, or a dinner party; your next collaboration starts here.”
Have you ever had a project that you just haven’t been able to get off the ground because you were unable to find the right person to help? This is where We Are CAN can help, become a member, talk to other members about your project and see whether you can sort something out. They’ll even help artists find gallery spaces and help PR your event.
Oh and they have a really awesome logo!
They’re currently working with a range of really talented people and projects. I’m looking forward to highlighting some of their exhibitions and events for you guys.
